Caught Nappin'
Here is just one of the cute ways Lydia likes to sleep! She is such the cuddle bug and always tucks her hands underneath her or folds her arms under her head! How precious!!!
Big Girl Outfit
Today I was going through Lydia's closet looking for something a little warmer for her to wear and I found the cutest outfit in there. But when I put it on her I almost cried because she looked like such a big girl! It is her first time to wear a "pants and top" outfit...
Our First Big Trip to Oklahoma
I grew up in Oklahoma City. Both sets of my grandparents are still there as are most of my aunts, uncles, cousins and even my great grandmother. Yes, that's right! Lydia has a great-great grandmother still living. Necon also has family in Oklahoma...Tulsa to be exact. We haven't been to seen them yet, but this weekend we went to see my family in OKC! We stayed with my dad's family on Friday night. Saturday we had my Uncle Steve's birthday and one of our friend's we grew up with got married Saturday night. We stayed with Ross and Jenny (my cousin and his wife) on Saturday night, went to church at Memorial Road on Sunday and then spent the afternoon/evening with Ross and Jenny. We ate dinner at a super fun burger place called Cheeseburger in Paradise (yes...like the song)! Lydia did great in the car coming and going!! We only had to stop to feed her! She is such a great baby...

The BUMBO Experience
Necon and I differ greatly in the amount of anticipation we have for her to grow up. I am totally content for her to stay a newborn baby for her entire life...Necon can't wait for her to talk, walk and grow up and leave us. Okay...I made up the grow up and leave us part. One example of this happened the other night (it was her 3 week birthday) when I suggested he play with her on the floor while I did some homework. (For those of you who don't know, I decided it would be a good idea to start my master's degree the day before I went in the hospital!) This is what I saw when I looked down. Not only was he taking pictures of her in the Bumbo but he was videoing how well my 3 week old baby could SIT UP ON HER OWN!!!
Second Sunday at Church
So...I'm probably the worst mother ever because somehow we got through our ENTIRE first day of church without taking any pictures! Instead here are a few pictures of her second Sunday at church. We took our pictures for the church directory and they were horrible! So we decided to take some more outside of Red Lobster (endless shrimp time!!) and they didn't turn out much better! Oh, well...
I know I say this all the time, but she is really the most beautiful baby EVER!!
A not so good family picture...
Morning with Annie and Aunt Susan
We went for our first walk on Monday (8/17) around Lake Willastein. She liked it for the first half, but then either got hot or didn't like the sun in her eyes, so Annie held her the rest of the way while I pushed an empty stroller. She saw three turtles sitting on a log, a dog barking in a back yard, a very unfriendly fellow walker, a squirrel on a tree and a very friendly yard worker! When we got back Annie and Aunt Susan gave her a bath, which included her peeing all over Susan!! Then she layed on the bed with her teddy bear we decided to name Ruth. Aunt Susan gave me a bear when I was born that mom named Esther because that is what she wanted to name me, but no one would let her! (Thank goodness!!) So we decided to name Lydia's bear (also given to her by her Aunt Susan) Ruth...a kindred female Bible character!
Just before the meltdown... She LOVES bath time now

My First Ballgame
In the Warrior family, the ballpark is a second home! We introduced Lydia to the ballfield at just 2 weeks old!! Necon plays with his brother Tony, his dad and lots of friends. In his first game after she was born (we weren't at this one) he hit a homerun: first at bat, first pitch!! Then at the game we were at he hit another home run!! All for his baby girl...

Daddy and his Lydi
Necon has been the cutest dad ever! Before she was born, he had never held a newborn, never changed a diaper, never fed a baby...but after seeing him with Lydia I would never have believed it! I know all Daddy's are suckers for their little girls, but this one is 100% sprung on his! He has said I LOVE YOU more in the last three weeks with her than he has in the 8 years we have been together! Nothing could make me happier or prouder...He takes such good care of both of us. He gets up in the night and helps me change and feed her, he brought us flowers last Friday and he calls all day long while he is at work to check on us. I have always known we would love being parents together, but this goes beyond all our dreams. It's crazy how having a baby together has made us love each other even more than we did before! Here are some pictures of Daddy and his little girl and some of us as a new FAMILY!!
Bonding at the Hospital
Daddy's exhausted and Lydia is still crying!
But he found a way to fix her!

First Razorback Game Day
Being the HUGE Hog fans that we are, we woke up, put on our Razorback clothes, got the magnets and flags on the car and drove to Starbucks to meet my family. We pulled up and my mother was inside making fun of "those dumb Razorback fans" who go around with their cars all decorated on game day. She was talking to our family from Oklahoma and didn't know that it was us pulling up! We listened to the game that night and Uncle Mark, Aunt Debbie and Rebekah brought us dinner. And, of course...we STOMPED Troy! GO HOGS!
How CUTE!

Mommy and Lydibug
I have dreamed of being a "mommy" since I can remember, but I never could have imagined how wonderfully perfect it is! It is incredible how much you can love someone...it's like I'm gonna burst! She is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen...I just can't quit looking at her. It is the best feeling in the world when she is upset and no one else can calm her down but me! Here are some wonderful pictures of mommy and her baby girl...

She loves Mommy too!!
I could look at her ALL day long!
PURE JOY...
