FATHER DAUGHTER BANQUET
Every year our church has a Father Daughter Valentines Banquet. My sisters and I have been going with our Dad for more than 10 years. One of the first things Necon said when we found out Lydia was a girl was that he was so excited to take her to the banquet. Mom tries to pretend that she feels left out, but we all know that she is excited to have a night to herself.

That is one proud Daddy...
All ready to go!!!
Visit with Pop and OG
She felt left out while we were eating at On the Border, so she ate some Squash!!
I am thinking we got the better end of that deal by far...

Pop and OG are moving out to Maumelle at the end of the summer!! We are so excited to have them so close...now all the grandparents live within 3 miles of us! Perfect timing...I feel like we are going to need some extra help this fall!
Keeping Josiah
We have been keeping Josiah one day a week since Tasha has gone back to work. It gets easier every time!! The first day wasn't bad except for one 30-minute period where they were both screaming their lungs out and I couldn't get either one to stop. We have discovered Josiah LOVES Lydia's swing, so he plays in that a lot now. We are trying to let them spend a lot of time together, so they can be best buddies!! Lydia loves to pull his hair and take his pacifier. Any time he cries she looks at me like "Mom, do something!!" I can sit them in front of eachother and Lydia tries to talk to Josiah and he just looks at her and then she starts laughing. It is really quite cute and if I could figure out how to get video on here I would let you all enjoy it...until then here are the photos:
This one is my favorite!! She has her arm around him...
THUNDERKICK!!
Necon's cousin Thomas fights in Chuck Norris' team kickboxing league: The World Combat League. The first round of the playoffs were last weekend in Tulsa, and of course we went. Tasha and I made the babies their very own "T-kick" shirts to support Thomas. Aunt Kathy and Beth made the sign. It made it on TV!! Thomas was super excited for all of us to be there. He won both of his fights, and he even kicked his second opponent all the way out of the ring!
Chuck himself was cheering for Thomas...
Lydia and the superstar...he even signed her onesie!!
The boys at IHOP after the fight
At the first peep of a baby crying in the morning, the grandparents rushed in to rescue the babies. It was very nice to have a chance to sleep in for once...
Little Josiah-buddy...
6 MONTHS
Lydia turned 6 months old on Sunday. I cannot believe how much she is learning to do. She holds her bottle, almost says Mama (she just makes the mmmmm sound...), eats fruits and vegetables (not the green ones), loves to chew on everything, plays really well by herself. She is still sleeping all night every night (12 hours is her current record). She wakes up in the morning and plays with toys in her crib until she gets hungry. She loves her Daddy, and talking to us on the phone while we are at work. Smiling and laughing are her two favorite pasttimes. We went to see Dr. Oneill today and she weighs 18 lbs 15oz, and she is 26 1/2 inches long! Dr. Oneill always politely says "She is still at the top of her class..." I think that is code for "Your kid is huge!" Lydia has also started crawling. She is not really using it as a mode of transportation yet, but she is doing the army crawl to get to things she wants. She can make it from one side of the room to the other. I thought I wouldn't be ready for this, but with another baby on the way, I am ready for her to crawl, walk, change her own diapers, get dressed...
This was yesterday. Rebecca was over at our house playing with Lydia and she put her up on the side of the exersaucer. I informed Rebecca, as Lydia's all knowing mother, that she wouldn't be able to stand up like that because she can't balance that well yet. Obviously I was wrong! As a side note, Lydia does have other outfits besides this green one. I realize after looking at the rest of the pictures she is wearing it in a lot of them...
A visit from Addie
Addie is our next door neighbor. We haven't spent a whole lot of time with her and her brothers, but we bought our girl scout cookies from her. I was in desperate need of two extra boxes of All-Abouts, so Addie brought us some and stayed to play with Lydia for about an hour. We had such a great time. She is going to make a great babysitter in a few years!
