HUGE Mary Kay Sale

For those that don't know I have been selling MK for the last 5 years. I am getting ready to start really running it as a business, and as part of that I am getting rid of all of our newly discontinued products. We are coming out with brand new compacts and our color is changing to an all Mineral Makeup line. So...I have TONS of eyeshadows, lipsticks, blushes, lip and eye liners, pressed powders, cream to powders, nail polishes and a few lotions and spa sprays. Just send me a comment or email me (jeni.warrior@marykay.com) and let me know if you are interested in setting up a time to look through the clearance items...they are all selling for $5 each!!

And for those of you who only look at the blog to see Lydia...here she is figuring out her sippy cup! It has been great because she doesn't feel so left out when we are eating!!

April Fool's

Yesterday at work we were a little slow, so we started playing with the ultrasound. I didn't really have high hopes of finding out what we are having since it is still pretty early, but we actually got several REALLY good indications It's a Boy!! I went down to the gift shop and bought two bracelets. One said It's a Boy and the other, It's a Girl. I took them both down to the ER and gave the It's a Girl bracelet to Necon. Here is how the conversation went from there:

Necon: Really? That's good. Are you sure?

Me: Pretty sure...are you excited or disappointed??

Necon: No. It's good... (but I could tell he was just a little bit disappointed...)

At this point, I couldn't drag it out any longer. I broke out the It's a Boy bracelet and yelled April Fools!!

Necon: "IT'S TWINS!!??"

I had to explain that it was not twins, just one boy. He has been crazy excited ever since!! Everyone knows he absolutely ADORES Lydia, but I know he is really happy to be having a boy, too!! It is still early, so we could go in two weeks and find out it is not really a boy, but I would be really really surprised!

Lydia has been either sick or teething since Friday. She is normally happy all the time and not too clingy. She plays really well by herself and doesn't need to be held much. I think I have held her almost non stop since Friday night. She is just not herself. I can't feel any teeth coming in, but she is running a really low grade fever. I found some popsicles in the freezer and thought she might like them...she LOVED them!! She sat beside Necon and watched Oprah's Big Give while I made spaghetti.

We figured the only way we were gonna get to eat in peace is if we shared with Lydia. She has eaten some "grown up food" off my plate before, but usually just a few bites of mashed potatoes or peas. This was her first foray into the world of real food! For someone who puts EVERYTHING in her mouth, it took her a while to eat the spaghetti. We wound up with a huge mess by the end of it!
